Its only been a week since I met this lovely little smasher and her family, but it feels like much MUCH longer. Post summer holiday jet lag is a killer but this was a perfect little shoot to come back to to get me back in to my stride. (and to keep my eyes open and focused haha)
This style of smash is one of my absolute favourites. Simple, natural, light and airy is just beautiful. It also helps that the Birthday girl (Happy 1st Birthday for this weekend you gorgeous bundle) is as cute as can be
As with most of the cake smash session, we started off by grabbing a few family shots before we got on with the main event. But having ants in her pants and having just learnt to walk, she definitely wanted to show off her new skills.. there was no holding her back.
What an amazing job mummy made of baking and decorating this delicious cake (yes... i tired a bit too)
Many little ones don't always want to destroy the cake, but rather sit and admire and take delicate nibbles at their own pace. And that's just fine. She definitely got stuck in in the end
We even took a little break to read a favourite story in-between nibbles. And to be fair, who wouldn't want to just curl up with a good book (and Dear Zoo is an excellent choice) and some cake for the morning! I certainly would
All finished off with a little bath in a tin tub. Just perfect
